T.L. Sinclare’s first novel, Silver Dagger, from ImaJinn books, was released in November 2002. Since then, she’s written more than 10 full-length novels and 10 short stories for a new publisher.  Her stories remain romances with a hint of the fantastic (werewolves, dragons and vampires!).
T.L. began writing romances at the age of sixteen (during Trigonometry class).  During her senior year in high school, the class dressed up as what they would be in twenty years—she dressed as a romance writer.  She began to write seriously in 1992 when she joined Romance Writer’s of America (RWA).  Her manuscript A Christmas Elf was a finalist in the national RWA Golden Heart Contest in 1998.  Silver Dagger was a finalist in the RWA Rita Contest for Best First Book.
Ms. Sinclare is currently the Weekend Weather Anchor at KTUU-Channel 2 in Anchorage, AK.  She also works for the station as their remote productions coordinator.
T.L. has lived in Alaska for thirty-five years.  Her family moved to Alaska in 1972 when her father was transferred to Elmendorf AFB with the U.S. Air Force.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in English and Broadcasting from Gonzaga University in 1986 and in 2007 received her Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi University.

I write stories set in on a planet that resembles Alaska -- men go fishing, and women run everything else. Humor aside, this fictional planet has a surface covered entirely in ocean, fjords, mountains, and glaciers. On Fenria, men tend to die off in boating accidents leaving control of government to the more numerous women. The situation makes a wonderful canvas for exploring relationships between men and women and their relationship to technology and nature.  My writing is science-fiction with romantic elements. I’m currently working on my third novel manuscript.
I grew up Colorado and have a BA in Arts and Humanities from Colorado State University. After moving to Alaska I earned a BFA in sculpture from University of Anchorage Alaska. I consider my writing to be a form of sculpture -- a monument so big that it contains an entire planet which can only be viewed through the magic of words. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest but knew Alaska would be my heart's home as soon as I stepped off that plane way back in the early 1980's.  I saw the mountains and that was it!   I love all the things that make living in Alaska so appealing: fishing, flying, skiing, hunting and long winter nights. A pilot myself, many of my stories involve aviation, strong female characters and the cultures and legends of my wild, untamed Alaska. I believe strong female characters provide a rich backdrop for hot romance, and give young girls a sense of what women can really do!  Initially, I began spinning romantic stories to add spice to a long distance relationship with my husband who was often stationed in remote locations around the state.  It wasn’t long before the stories made their way to paper, and now our family includes all kinds of interesting characters that invade our daily conversations and cause a raised eyebrow or two in public places!
I write both romantic suspense and paranormal romance and enjoy weaving intricate plots with current events or cultural legends and myths.  When I’m not writing, I can be found teaching women’s self defense seminars and martial arts, scuba diving in tropical locals, flying to meet my husband for a quick rendezvous in some romantic out-of-the-way spot, playing with graphic design… or just kicking back and enjoying this thing we call life.

C.G. Williams, Member

Born and raised in Alaska, C.G. Williams joined the Alaska Chapter of RWA in October of 2000. C.G. first started writing a vampire horror story in the early 80s on a non-electric typewriter. Since that time C.G. has been having fun creating many types of tales, from science fiction to a kick ass work of mythic fiction about Amazon warriors during the Trojan war. Almost all C.G.’s stories bubbled down to a powerful, romantic relationship that changed the characters lives profoundly. C.G. enjoys fencing, Tai Chi, photography, museums, history, music, biking, hiking and beadwork as it all fuels the creative process. C.G. lives in Alaska with her husband Chris and two adored cats.

Char Chaffin

Char Chaffin writes mainstream and contemporary romance filled with family, rich characters and engaging plots. For her, it all comes back to the love. From crafting Victorian-style poetry to writing short stories and novellas, Char finally settled on romance novels as her true passion. Over the years she worked a variety of jobs, from farm hand to costume designer to fiscal accountant, before deciding a writing career was her desired focus. In addition to writing, Char is also an editor for Soul Mate Publishing. A displaced Alaskan, Char currently lives in Upstate NY on a sixty-acre farm with husband Don and rat terrier Daisy Mae. Their extended family is scattered all over the Lower Forty-Eight and Alaska. When she’s not pounding away at her keyboard or burying her nose in books and her beloved Kindle, she tends a huge vegetable garden and helps Don maintain their farm.

Tiffinie in Soldotna 2008

Raised in Alaska, I spent many long, dark winters as a teenager escaping the forty below temperatures by penning romantic adventures. I attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks where I met a man who swept me off my mukluks and promptly married him. The 90's were spent playing mommy to four children, and on the glorious day my youngest entered kindergarten, I set up camp at the keyboard. I write romantic thrillers and contemporary romance (for when I need to lighten things up). Part of my year is spent landlocked in Utah and the other part commercial fishing on Alaska's Bering Sea. During my landlock months, I create wheel-thrown pottery, moonlight for Barnes & Noble, and race around with my top down on my convertible (weather permitting). I’m represented by Christine Witthohn from Book Cents Literary Agency and hope to have a deal in the works soon
